House collection

Recycling at home is easy, convenient and makes a big difference to the environment.

All you have to do is fill your recycling box with the items listed below, leave the box at the front edge of your property boundary so it’s visible from the road by 7am on your collection day, and the council will empty it for you.

In your new blue recycling box:

  • All paper and cardboard

In your old recycling box:

  • All other mixed recyclables - tins, cans, plastic bottles and glass
Your recycling is collected on the same day as your rubbish is collected. To find out when this is, please contact the Customer Contact Centre on 0208 554 5000, email, or visit Redbridge i.
