Bulky waste collection

Redbridge council charges for their bulky waste collection service, for items such as:

•  Fridges and other white goods
•  Beds (mattresses)
• TVs and other electrical items
• Furniture

Remember, you can also take your items to your local reuse and recycling centre for free.

To book a collection, call the Customer Contact Centre on 020 8554 5000, who will give you a quote if you know exactly what you need to have collected. If it's not so straightforward the council will send someone round to quote within two working days.

You can pay through the Contact Centre or in person at the One Stop Shop. The price will depend on how much and the types of bulky waste you want collected. Prices are reduced for senior citizens.

After you have paid, you will be given a collection date; this is usually done within two working days.

Items must be left in clear view outside your property before 7.00 am on the day of collection.
