There are three categories of waste that can be taken to the RRC:
It is
free of charge for residents to deposit household waste on site in reasonable amounts. Please ensure you bring proof of address, such as a utility bill or Council Tax bill.
Please note that any waste from
building, renovation or DIY work is not classed as household waste. You will need to get permission from Newham Council before taking it to the RRC.
Trade waste includes anything not from a household,
whether or not for profit. Newham Council is cracking down on people illegally dumping builders’ and commercial waste at Jenkins Lane so staff may need to record your vehicle number and the driver’s address. Whilst it is free to dispose of household waste, any waste that is not from your house or has been produced through the activities of a business will be subject to the following charges:
Up to 180 kg - £40
|
Every additional 50kg - £5 - 10 (depending on total weight)
|
1000kg - £160
