Green waste collection
Take part in the Barking and Dagenham council green garden waste collection scheme and the council will collect your grass cuttings, leaves, weeds, flowers, hedge trimmings and prunings and compost them for you locally.
The council will pick up your green waste every two weeks, on the same day that they pick up your household rubbish. All you need to do is fill your green bin with grass, leaves, flowers and weeds and leave your bin at the boundary of your property by 6.30am.
