Charity shops
Clothes, furniture, crockery, CDs and DVDs are just some of the items accepted by the hundreds of charity shops across London. Some charities even run door-to-door clothes and textiles collections, where they post a plastic sack through your letterbox and tell you when they can come to pick it up.
Many charity shops ask that items you donate for resale are clean and in good condition, though some like TRAID (textile reuse) accept everything. Note also that most charity shops are unable to accept electrical items for health and safety reasons.
