Recycling Superheroes save the day in Redbridge!
25 September
The Redbridge recycling team visited a superheroes themed summer holiday club to help young people become recycling superheroes.
Children from St Paul’s Church summer club dressed up as superheoes from ‘The Incredibles’ to ‘Batman’, and had visits from their superheroes too – including the fire brigade, ambulance paramedics, and the recycling team from Redbridge. The young superheroes took part in recycling craft activities to stop rubbish going to the dump. They made jewellery out of old newspapers, magazines and wrapping paper, and created Noah’s Ark from old cardboard and bottle tops.
Reverend Chris Cant said, “The event was a great success and the children were delighted to meet their superheroes! They learned a lot and also had a fun week.”
