One World Week 2011
12 September
Living for one world
One World Week 2011 (23 - 30 October) is all about valuing and understanding the world and those who live in it.
This year’s theme is ‘Living for one world’, which includes
Living for the Planet and
Living and acting for change – this means thinking about global warming, climate change and the planet overall. What can we do to help make it better by reducing our impact, changing our actions and influencing others to make changes?
To celebrate this, Redbridge council are running a poster competition to provide students in the borough the opportunity to discover more about how to value the planet and all the life forms that sustain us.
Download the competition information
here and enter your poster by
Friday 14 October.
Winners will receive prizes for their school and for themselves. All entries will be displayed on 26 October, during One World Week at Valentine’s Mansion, where you can also drop in for fun workshops with the recycling team.
